CT Scanning for Exotic Animals:

'April' the Olive Ridley Turtle!

The Burgess Diagnostics’ mobile CT radiography team were delighted to be able to assist the team at Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre recently with one of their extra special resident turtles ‘April’.

April was rescued from the ocean in the Maldives after being entangled in ghost netting with a plastic bag around her neck. She was missing her right front flipper and also had a damaged left front flipper. The CT scans produced by our team will now be used to help the Sea Life centre maintain April’s health in her new Scottish home. You can read more about April’s journey to Loch Lomond here.

We wish April all the best for the future!
